War Freedoms
In a time of war, sometimes it is necessary for the American people to give up some of their freedoms in order to help with the war effort. In World War I when Americans were forced to conserve gasoline for the troops overseas, there was nothing illegal about that. The government should be able to amend the constitution to a certain extent during war time to increase the chances of victory. If the Government wants to set aside gas free days, then that should be constitutional. Even in a time of peace, a gas free day should be constitutional to help our environment. This being said, i think that true americans should give up some of their freedoms during a time of war.

I disagree with your opinion Rob. I feel that if Americans are forced to give up their freedoms that they would be less likely to support a war effort. If Americans' freedoms were more strongly enforced during a war I feel that a lot more support would be gathered than if the government took what they wanted. I understand that if the army needed it it should be obtained but I feel that that should be the peoples' choice not the government's.
